Water repellent agents, also known as hydrophobic agent are widely used in cement-based building materials because they help reduce water absorption and improve the durability of mortar systems. They can provide effective hydrophobic performance both on the surface and within the mortar structure, making them suitable for dry-mix products that require reliable water resistance and stable performance under alkaline conditions.

ELUTEXIL® WR-200 is an efficient hydrophobic agent designed for cement-based dry-mix formulations. It provides outstanding water repellency on both the surface and inside of building mortars, is easy to incorporate during production, and remains fully effective in alkaline media. Mortars formulated with WR-200 show improved water resistance and more reliable long-term performance.

Storage and Shelf Life

1. Store in a dry, cool place at temperatures below 25°C.

2. Each batch has a “Best use before end” date on the product label.

3. Product may still be usable after this date, but properties must be checked before use.

4. If stored under pressure or in damaged / long-opened packaging, the powder may cake.

5. Blends with hydraulic binders, fillers, or pigments show better storage stability, but still must be protected from humidity.

6. Shelf life: 2 years from the date of receipt under recommended storage conditions.
