It can be mixed with ether, Acetone, benzene, chloroform, vinyl acetate and other mutually soluble, soluble in water and Tetrachloromethane, carbon dioxide absorption capacity is strong, stable nature.
Propylene carbonate can be used as a plasticizer for adhesives and Sealants, as a Phenol formaldehyde resin accelerator and as a dispersant for pigments and fillers for water soluble adhesives. It can be used for a variety of purposes, such as:
No.1 used as UV curing coatings and inks;
No.2 it is used as stationary liquid and solvent for gas chromatography, and also used in the synthesis of high polymer
No.3 Used as oil solvent, Olefin, aromatic extraction agent, carbon dioxide absorbent, etc.
No.4 Polar solvent: used as Plasticizer, spinning solvent, water-soluble dyes and plastic dispersant.
No.5 as a good medium for lithium batteries in the battery industry, propylene carbonate as the electrolyte of the battery can withstand the worse light, heat and chemical reaction.
No.6 Propylene Carbonate (108-32-7) is used as a high efficient solvent to remove carbon dioxide from petroleum gas, petroleum cracking gas, oil field gas and feed gas of synthetic ammonia
No.7 Propylene carbonate can also be used as a wood binder in place of Phenol formaldehyde resin and in synthetic dimethyl carbonate.
No.8. It is also used for Geological Analytical Chemistry and mineral processing.
